We are proud to share that Cheadle Hulme High School, Didsbury High School, and Hazel Grove High School have all been recognised as the top three mixed comprehensives in the North West, in the prestigious Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2026.

  • Cheadle Hulme High School has been named the second top comprehensive secondary school in the North West and is ranked 10th among comprehensive state secondary schools nationally – a remarkable achievement that reflects the school’s culture of being unashamedly academic and its pursuit of excellence.
  • Didsbury High School, rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2024, continues to impress with its academic results and uncompromising standards, cementing its position as one of Greater Manchester’s leading schools. The school ranked third in the top comprehensive secondary schools in the North West.
  • Hazel Grove High School also earned a place among the region’s top comprehensives, ranking fourth in the North West, showcasing its approach to being unapologetically aspirational, driving strong progress and delivering outstanding outcomes for students.
