We’re incredibly proud to celebrate our 14 Laurus Trust students (5 from Cheadle Hulme Sixth Form, 5 from Didsbury Sixth Form, 2 from Laurus Ryecroft and 2 from Hazel Grove Sixth Form) who have secured prestigious offers from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
These students will go on to study an exceptional range of subjects, spanning Classics, Architecture, Mathematics, Medicine, Law and more. Their offers include places at some of the most renowned colleges across both universities, such as Jesus College, King’s College, Trinity College and Magdalen College.
This fantastic achievement reflects not only the students’ talent and dedication, but also the high aspirations and culture of academic excellence embedded across the Trust.
CEO Linda Magrath shared:
“I am incredibly proud of this outstanding cohort of students, all of whom have benefitted from our Apertura programme for high‑achieving students.”

All students receiving offers this year have participated in the Apertura Programme – the Trust’s initiative designed to stretch, challenge and enrich high‑achieving students through extended academic study, specialist preparation and exposure to world‑leading universities. The programme provides tailored support for students applying to competitive courses and Russell Group institutions, with Oxbridge preparation forming a key strand.
The hard work, resilience and ambition of our students is exceptional, and these offers are richly deserved. We are delighted to see them take this next step toward fulfilling their academic potential.
We’re thrilled for the 14 Year 13 students across the Trust who have received Oxford and Cambridge offers following their journey through the Apertura Programme.
A fantastic achievement – well done to all!
