Students across the Laurus Trust enjoyed an exceptional National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) and National Careers Week (NCW) this year, filled with inspiring encounters, expert insights and opportunities to explore future pathways.
Across our secondary schools and Sixth Forms, we were proud to deliver around 18,000 meaningful careers encounters.
These valuable sessions gave students the chance to hear directly from colleges, universities, apprentices, managers and entrepreneurs who generously shared their experiences and personal career journeys.
Throughout both weeks, students took part in a diverse programme of activities, including live assemblies, Trust-wide broadcasts, themed presentations and a range of classroom-based careers tasks.
Staff also displayed signs on their classroom doors listing their own career pathways, helping to spark conversations about routes into different professions and encouraging students to reflect on their own aspirations.
These two national campaigns provide an important opportunity to highlight the breadth of options available to young people, and it was fantastic to see so many students engaging with the sessions, asking questions and developing a deeper understanding of the world beyond school.
A huge thank you to everyone across the Trust and our external partners who contributed to the success of both weeks.
