The Laurus Institute is delighted be working with the National College of Education, an Apprenticeship Provider offering fully funded CPD for school staff, including TAs, Support Staff, Teachers and Leaders. Together, we are bringing fully funded leadership programmes to the Greater Manchester region and beyond. Programme fees are met by your apprenticeship levy contribution, meaning that as the learner, you’ll pay absolutely nothing.

The NCE has specialist cohorts across its three leadership programmes with enrichment from sector experts. The support you will receive is unrivalled, with many of the NCE tutors being highly-experienced former school leaders, whose single goal is to see you achieve. Since the NCE’s inception in 2017, it has welcomed over 3,000 learners to its programmes from schools across the UK, creating one of the biggest movements in school leadership history.

Senior Leader Apprenticeship

Intended for aspiring senior leaders. Emphasis is placed on moving to a more strategic role and looking at whole school priorities, whilst still emphasising the importance of effective pedagogical leadership. Each delegate will complete a project that will be implemented across their school. Becoming an effective senior leader is not just about picking up the skills and strategies associated with leading a team; it is also about developing the core principles of public office and developing into an effective team player. We therefore also highlight these essential sets of components and develop them alongside generic leadership skills. This programme includes an extension pathway to a fully funded MSc. in Education Leadership and Management.
