Students from Laurus Ryecroft and Laurus Cheadle Hulme had a great experience training at Manchester City’s Etihad Campus with the Laurus Trust’s Head of Sporting Excellence and former City star Paul Dickov.

The Year 7s travelled to City’s Etihad campus and completed training drills to build communication and help teamwork as well as competing in a friendly match at the end of the session. Coaches from the Blues’ charity arm, City in the Community, helped Paul deliver the training.

Paul said: “This was a great opportunity for the students to learn footballing skills from the CITC coaches and train in a fantastic environment.”

The Laurus Trust strives to create opportunities for its students with experiences in and out of the classroom, levelling the playing field and bridging the gap between state and private schools.
