Staff and students right across the Laurus Trust are pulling together to support one of our students, who is currently in need of treatment for a heart condition.

Cerys, who attends Laurus Cheadle Hulme, suffers from severe stroke-like symptoms caused by a hole in her heart but the operation she needs is unavailable on the NHS.

Her family are currently raising money to fund the operation privately and have set up a Go Fund Me page to help.

Cerys is no stranger to fundraising having raised more than £6,500 herself last year, by having her head shaved to help a friend undergoing treatment for Leukaemia.

It’s now our turn to help Cerys and so many of our students have come forward with fundraising ideas, some of which will be organised throughout the term.
