Staff at the Laurus Trust came together this week to celebrate the professional learning that has been taking place amongst colleagues throughout the year.

The Uber ARC (Action, Research, Communities) is an annual event held by the Laurus Trust to provide its teaching and SEND staff with a platform to share their work, in order to improve and enhance practice in the classroom.

This year’s event was held virtually over Teams and included a number of presentations focusing on issues such as gender stereotypes in schools, dual coding theory (verbal and image memory) and the impact of Covid-19 on teaching.

All staff are invited to be involved in the Uber ARC each year, which involves researching educational texts, sharing findings and ideas and applying those principles to the classroom.
