On Wednesday 28th January, the Laurus Trust was delighted to attend the Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) Secondary PGCE Employability Fair, meeting the next generation of teachers and discussing the rewarding career opportunities available across our schools.
Representing the Trust were Dave Brown, Executive Head (Secondary); John Peet, Head of School at Laurus Cheadle Hulme; and Martyn Mancey‑Johnson, Operations Director, who spent the morning speaking with trainee teachers about their subject areas, ambitions and future pathways in education.
There was a fantastic buzz throughout the event, with students eager to explore current vacancies, learn about the application process, and gain insight into what it’s like to work in the Laurus Trust.
Many were interested in our supportive Early Career Teacher (ECT) programme and our commitment to high-quality professional development.
Thank you to MMU for hosting such a valuable event, and to every student who took the time to speak with us.
