As a Trust, we realise that to thrive in a world impacted by climate change, we have an important part to play in educating ourselves, as well as our students and pupils, about the importance of positive climate action. We also aim to inspire and empower our communities to make a significant impact.
School Climate Action Plans
We have an expert-led Trust-wide Climate Action and Sustainability Steering Group which advises and supports our schools to establish and embed their Climate Action Plans which crosses over four Trust priorities:
- Inspiring pride in biodiversity
- Boosting our decarbonisation plans
- Increasing our resilience to climate change
- Promoting the importance of Climate Education and Green Careers
Climate action is important to our community, and we know that small eco-conscious choices ripple outward. Therefore, a core theme of our Climate Action and Sustainability ambitions is to highlight the link between sustainability, community belonging, and wellbeing at every opportunity.
