Welcome to our virtual Sixth Form and College Careers room. Here you will find links to our Laurus Sixth Forms, along with a range of local colleges and education providers to explore when considering your next steps post-16.
There are lots of opportunities in the local area. Most Laurus students take the Sixth Form or College route to do A Levels or BTECs. Some students may study vocational courses at college, including BTECs and other vocational qualifications, while others may follow the apprenticeship route.
You should explore all the options available to you, and we recommend you apply to at least three places, even if one is just a back-up plan. You can make your final decision after you receive your GCSE results.
Sixth Forms & Colleges
Each link below will take you to the website of a post-16 provider. You should look at courses that interest you. Every Sixth Form and College has its own application process – most are online, but some require a written application.
The application process begins in September of Year 11. Deadlines for applications vary, but be aware that some are as early as November.

Apprenticeship Providers & Careers Advice
Visit the GMACs website to find out about Apprenticeships.
Students can also log into Xello, a careers platform designed to help young people make more informed decisions about their future study and career options, as well as develop their employability. This is a great resource to use before and after careers interviews in school.
